On June 18, 2026, The now National Student Refugee Coalition recently celebrated its founding anniversary with our annual Gala! The event brought together current and previous student leaders, community partners, and supporters to reflect on NSRC's growth from a local Chicago initiative to a national network. Guests enjoyed an evening of student-leader speeches, live entertainment, and fundraising activities to support upcoming programs for newcomer youth across the country.

3rd Annual Gala
The NSRC recently hosted its annual Youth Fest to bring together local newcomer students and families! The event featured carnival themed food stations — such as Cotton candy, Popcorn, and Snow cones — and activities for students of all ages. NSRC student volunteers along with partner organizations also provided direct distributions of essential supplies to help newcomer students.
